Confirmation of Aboriginality

Some organisations (schools, employers, government bodies, etc.) require that Aboriginal people and businesses provide Confirmations of Aboriginality before they can access certain programs, services and benefits.
You can apply to the Tiwi Land Council to obtain a Confirmation of Aboriginality. Please contact us by email (anthropologist@tiwilandcouncil.com) and provide the following:
First and last name (including maiden name if appropriate)
Phone number and (if possible) email address
The names of your parents and (if possible) grandparents
Clan (if known)
The Tiwi Land Council requires a minimum of 10 working days to process most Confirmation of Aboriginality applications.
