Tiwi Resources Pty Ltd is a trust company established by the Tiwi Land Council in 1991 and owned by the eight Tiwi landowning groups - Malawu, Mantiyupwi, Munupi, Marrikawuyanga, Jikilaruwu, Wurankuwu, Wulirankuwu and Yimpinari.
Tiwi Resources helps Tiwi people benefit economically from land-use activities and manages natural resource management projects including the Tiwi Islands Indigenous Protected Area, the Tiwi Ranger and Junior Ranger Programs, and the Tiwi Fire & Carbon Project. Income generated helps to relieve poverty, advance education, improve land management and support cultural and ceremonial activities.
